May 17, 2012 - I have a JCM 800. It's an older one from 1983 but it is my fav. I have a little giant tube amp that was hand wired point to point with nos tubes and green backs.It's a great amp too. I have the mxr pedal--without question it's my fav.

May 17, 2012 - i like the mullards reissue el34, or the elactro hamenex you would like also get them from a good tube vender so if you run in to a bad one they will replace them, also you can ask for a medium or soft clipping tube,, im going to soft clipping befor i go deaf. i think dug's tube's is good. if you are running a 100 way jcm 800,, pull out the 2 outside tubes, that will tern it down a little and make it distort in the power section sooner,,it helps. use a tung sole 12ax7 in number 1 for more gain
