Mar 20, 2012 - He makes me remember Eddie Van Halen..rsrs.. He´s awesome...

Mar 27, 2012 - Well, everything sounds better when you have a '57 Les Paul and a Twin Reverb. Robben always sounds great, but I've never seen him playing beginner equipment.
murfdog19 Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - I wouldn't call an Epi and a Blues Junior beginner equipment. Besides, if you can't sound good through average equipment, you're just not that good. The point of playing professional gear is to give you better tone, not to make your playing better.

Mar 28, 2012 - the class is just like fuckk
murfdog19 Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - No, there is no point. So, Robben Ford would still sound good through an Epiphone and a Blues Jr.?? So what?? You could say the same about every talented guitarist in the world. I would rock the shit out of people with a Squier and a Pignose amp......but so what.

Mar 29, 2012 - Aww, poor baby has to block people. You can't win an argument so you run away. How childish.
murfdog19 Says:
Mar 29, 2012 - Ha. I haven't heard such harsh words since I was in fifth grade. Face it, you are a pussy. Go run and hide now.
murfdog19 Says:
Mar 29, 2012 - Oh, and sure I have negative comments on my channel. I don't censor or block people like you do. Only pussies do that.

Apr 1, 2012 - anybody know the name of this tune? or is it just a one-off
lonkennedy Says:
Apr 9, 2012 - The tune is "Oasis" from RF's album Tiger Walk- one of the rare times he has used a East Coast based rhythm section. Has a different feel than the Blue Line Band, or later Renegade lineups.

May 23, 2012 - I'm not sure I agree, I think the point of high end gear is to minimise the difference between the sounds in your head and the sounds you make in reality.
murfdog19 Says:
May 23, 2012 - Yes, I agree. YOUR sound will remain the same regardless of what gear you are using. Your style and phrasing is what makes your sound; much more so than a particular guitar or amp. Billy Gibbons has used a wide variety of guitars and amps through the years, but he always sounds like Billy Gibbons.
fenderkid6 Says:
May 23, 2012 - yeah, definitely agree. Guess I misread your post.but obviously it's a bit of a stretch to say a guitarist who plays badly on a nylon, 3/4 scale kids guitar with action 2 inches off the fretboard is a bad guitarist. That's the only sort of kit I'd call 'starter' though.
murfdog19 Says:
May 23, 2012 - Ha. Yeah, I was thinking more like a Squier Strat and Marshall MG.
paulc176 Says:
May 24, 2012 - well i think the tone is most certainly coming from the fender amp and his goldtop, im sure a good bit of tone is coming from his hands but i would say alot of it is the equipment he's using too to be fair
paulc176 Says:
May 24, 2012 - if he was using a squier and a roland cube do you think he'd get the same tone?
