Aug 7, 2008 - I am syrian and these leaves are sooo different than ours and of course we think ours are the best.  We put mint, pinenuts cooked in rendered butter and meat inside...yummy. But all grapeleaves are good people that don't know anything should shut up........

Dec 23, 2009 - Yummy looks good! I make mine this way - 1 lb ground lamb, 1/2 cup uncooked rice, 3 teaspoons dried dill. 1 small onion grated. Cook onion in olive oil for 3 to 4 mins on low - add 2 tsp. dried dill and remove from heat. Cool and add to lamb with the rice. Use filling for grape leaves. I cook in chicken broth to cover with juice of 4 small / 2 lg lemons and 2 tbsp olive oil - 1 tsp dill. Cook 1 hr in covered pot - don't boil. Yumm!
