All we can do is guess really, and think about what they mean to us. Think about it as abstract art. This is actually pretty good, because no matter what kinda person you are, you should always be able to find something in the lyrics, and if not, or if you dislike it, you can just think about them as meaningless.

The only importance when he chose what the lyrics where is that they phonetically compliment each other; ryhmes. Some people love songs for lyrics I like songs that get my foot taping and has melody, Cobain created songs based on that theory.

I'm a big Nirvana fan, and to this day I still can't make out what he's saying half the time, nor I am interested in finding out. Not important for me.

May 24, 2012 - Excactly. You take the last option, thinking about them as meaningless, as you can`t relate to them. And that may be true, or not, we can`t know. People have tons of different oppinions on Nirvana, but in the end, most of them are guided by personal prefernces, and not facts.
