Apr 13, 2012 - That's ignorant bullshit! These 3rd world countries can't even dig a water well or build a road or a school or hospital. What makes you think they can make plastics and gasoline? You seem to think these things are simple to do. They don't have the knowledge. They don't (or didn't) have modern infrastructure or a modern banking system or political will to invest in their own country. Instead they use what little money there is for bribes, mansions, and Swiss bank accounts. Get a clue!

TubeofDestiny Says:

Apr 15, 2012 - MUHAHAHHAA XD HAHAHAHA XD"can't even dig a water well or build a road/school/hospital' => then how the hell did they survived the last 5 000 years ?!How the hell countries like Iran got their own hospitals, universities, roads and water distribution system ? They broke free from the colonization system (only to fall in the hands of religious extremists :/), and SHAZAM they're now making nukes. If they were so ignorant, how the hell did they became what they are now, 33 years later ? Magic ?

TubeofDestiny Says:

Apr 15, 2012 - They don't have the infrastructure to invest in their own country ? oh really ?You never thought it -could- be because the entire infrastructure of the country was built and enforced during colonization for exportation of primary resources, destroying the existing local economy and preventing any future development of the non-exportation infrastructure ?

TubeofDestiny Says:

Apr 15, 2012 - You never thought US/Europe were corrupting the local govs, providing weapons and money to "rebels" whenever it's serving their interests, to prevent stable states and non-warlord leaders from establishing a durable nation through long-term investments ?

TubeofDestiny Says:

Apr 15, 2012 - You're looking at symptoms without ever wondering why such things are happening.- No roads/schools/hospitals ? they're ignorant !- Corruption is rampant ? it's their culture, they chose it !- Their infrastructures aren't compatible with [non-exportation] investments ? it's their fault !Get a clue. :P

Apr 15, 2012 - Obviously, you are ignorant of the lack of clean water problems 3rd world countries face.Iran is no longer a 3rd world country but a developing country. Where do you think they got all their wealth and technology from? Where would Iran be if the west had no need for their oil? The British built their oil industry. Oil is the reason Iran was able to develop. What the heck do you know about 3rd world countries anyway? Where are you from? Canada? California? LOL

Apr 16, 2012 - So these were all good honest good people until we corrupted them? LOLDude, you are so full of crap. LOLI've wasted enough of my time with you. You're an ignorant moron living in liberal fantasy land. There is no point arguing with an idiot detached from reality.

soukupb Says:

Apr 16, 2012 - What happened to Dick Cheney? He seemed to of made a much better Secretary of Defense than Vice President.

TubeofDestiny Says:

Apr 16, 2012 - and now the insults... "liberal" - come on, don't you have anything else in your drawer ?it was nice to talk with you though, despite the different POV you're pretty good-willed and wishing to help the people in need, I just hope you'll realize why 3rd world countries hate USA and Europe (and why some of them turn to terrorism) and why "we" (US/Europe) are doing that.

MustangJay Says:

Apr 17, 2012 - Wow this guy's smart. Too bad he wasn't around to advise George W. Bush when the U.S. went in to Iraq for the second time!

maddog72k Says:

Apr 17, 2012 - Hope he goes soon. Can't stand him. Looser!!!!

Jacoby515 Says:

Apr 21, 2012 - That's why they hate the U.S. is because the British got us in to take control of their oil, in order to do that we had to install a dictator "shah". I'm sure if a foreign country destroyed our Republic to install a tyrant we would want to hate them to.

Vulcan750L Says:

Apr 23, 2012 - The US did not take control of Iranian oil. You're pretty ignorant about Iran. Most Iranians love the US. They want democracy and personal freedom. Iranians are forced to live under religious laws. All their leaders are dictators. What do you think they have now? There is no democracy in Iran. They have a theocracy ruled by the Mullahs. Their president is just a "front man". Candidates have a to be approved by the mullahs. They have a one party system. There is no real choice.

Jacoby515 Says:

Apr 23, 2012 - Your calling me ignorant because you believe your lie? Quit with Fox News Neo Conservative talking points. The SHAH was a dictator, far worse than this government they have now. The British wanted to control their oil so the Brits convinced Eisenhower to send in a secretive force directed by the CIA to take out their democracy. Sure there might be a few Iranians that like us Americans but the country doesn't. If your gonna debate me with stupidity, then i already won.

Vulcan750L Says:

Apr 24, 2012 - I have a friend of 9 years, who is an Iranian medical student and lives in Esfahan, Iran. I suggest you do some research into the topic before you talk any more crap about how Iranians hate Americans. The Shah was no worse than what you have now. You think these Mullahs believe in human rights? They stone women to death for being accused of adultery. They hang people for being gay. They shoot people on the streets for protesting.I'm calling you ignorant because you are an ignorant moron.

Vulcan750L Says:

Apr 24, 2012 - The Shah tried to modernize Iran and had to fight the mullahs and their followers who were against it in the normal way that things are done in 3rd world and developing countries. His brutal methods were not, and are not, unique to that part of the world.Despite the pleas from his generals and political advisers, the Shah refused to use the military against the protestors who wanted to remove him from power. Instead, he went into exile, not exactly the act of a cruel tyrant.

DoctorNumber46 Says:

May 11, 2012 - Whoa whoa guys, Kim Roosevelt's countercoup in '53 had little to do with AIOC. Admittedly, the British had been trying to get the Americans involved in a military intervention against Mossadegh, but Truman ruled it out, due to his own personal affiliation with Mossadegh and the proximity of Iran to the Soviet border (remember the British-USSR intervention in 1941). The British redoubled their efforts, when Eisenhower took office, stressing the risk to AIOC, and also his possible Communist ties.

DoctorNumber46 Says:

May 11, 2012 - The Eisenhower administration made the decision to send Kim in due to the ties Mossadegh may have had with the Tudeh; while the British did play them up, it makes sense to Mossadegh to play the USSR and the US off of each other, especially in the event that Eisenhower is not as friendly as Truman. The land reform he wanted to carry out got the CIA quite nervous and was interpreted as one of many signs, including his contacts with the Tudeh, that the country would turn Communist. Not oil.

BENNYSIEGEL90 Says:

May 21, 2012 - Bruce was probably one of the hawks too. Bush senior was the boss so they had to listen to him. You expect me to believe that he is sincere here. He was a member of the PNAC "think thank" and spend entire later 90s advocating and demanding Bill Clinton to occupy Iraq.

petersmeter2 Says:

May 25, 2012 - Giggity goo.
