Sep 21, 2011 - To each their own, but I would think you would have to be certain that you are using the proper ratio of flight surface area to weight ratio since you are forcing the dart to correct itself in the air. If you don't focus too hard and watch the general flight path of the dart, you will see the dart oscillate alot on it's way to the board. That means if the flight is moving on the way to the board, so is the tip, and it somewhat randomizes where it will land in the board.

Dec 11, 2011 - I use plastic darts (there are no standard dart boards in my country). These darts can break easily and become costly to repair. I really need to improve my game, but I'm worried this throwing style and increase the chances of my darts breaking. I will give it a try though.

Feb 26, 2012 - This technique sucks.The way you do it is you just hold the dart straight like you want it to go. But how you do it you just look where you want the dart to go. Look at the spot. Then don't even think about the spot just look at it and throw the dart at the spot. If you try to think and throw at the spot you will never hit it, The way to get good is practice and practice for a couple hours a day. Before long you' be able to hit the spots. ALways throw the dart the same way. But this guy is wrong

Mar 2, 2012 - The way I do it isn't on here, but it's similar. I hold the darts so the stem rests on the fleshy part between my forefinger and thumb,with my middle and forefinger I hold the darts (not pencil grip) and my ring finger comes round and rests right on the very tip of the dart. It's the way I've always done it but I've noticed that the dart spins ALOT more than any conventional way and it fly's straight rather than arc'ing
