Jun 1, 2011 - giving me crazy ideas for reloading ammo.

links212 Says:

Jun 7, 2011 - Wow that really scared my because from my experience thermite has a high temperature slow burn.

punxsutawneybarney Says:

Jun 12, 2011 - For use of thermite in cutting steel, see my video "Incendiary Experiments".The mythbusters guys set off 1000 pounds of thermite to try to cut a car in half, and explosives experts at New Mexico Tech try to cut a column and a beam, and a Florida Engineer, Jonathan Cole, cuts columns, beams, bolt heads, and bolts.

Jun 16, 2011 - noooooo

MrAde9999 Says:

Jun 21, 2011 - try 4.4/1 by weightCuO/Al

SuperControlRoom Says:

Jun 24, 2011 - correct! iron salts make red while copper salts are blue/green

Cathal7707 Says:

Jun 26, 2011 - Pro tip: add magnesium powder instead of aluminium.

TheManInWhite2010 Says:

Jun 28, 2011 - Jesus.... i don't know that much about chemistry and stuff, but it sure is dam interesting.

sammysignal Says:

Jul 6, 2011 - o cool that makes molten copper

jack90720 Says:

Jul 10, 2011 - Cool

crapbag1997 Says:

Jul 25, 2011 - make your own german dark al with ten percent carbon it is so easy to light and burns very fast for al give it a go should work i balled milled mine for 3 weeks

1ukjunglednbraver Says:

Jul 25, 2011 - thats not how they make german dark al i wont be as fine as the real deal and its darkness is only because of the high carbon content...real black alumium powder is made buy placeing al foil over paper and hammering it out in very thin to al leaf then its baked in a low oxygen environment changing the paper into carbon then its millid into a powder the carbon in the end product is very low its darkness is mostly from how fine it is..youe better of just milling it without carbon

crapbag1997 Says:

Jul 25, 2011 - it may not be german dark but it works very well

1ukjunglednbraver Says:

Jul 25, 2011 - ohh yeh sure man i was going to say its cool you make your own stuff there just wasnt enuff room... i dont have a ball mill i have to buy my powders but i dont do a whole lot anymore i kinda grew out of it

csmaster65 Says:

Aug 6, 2011 - Hello, very nice video. Have you tried with to make this with finer aluminium powder? Also, how was it ignited? Seems to be a visco burning?

MrAde9999 Says:

Aug 24, 2011 - ratio?

imhanppl Says:

Sep 14, 2011 - wow like bomb!

ihatebrazil3 Says:

Oct 9, 2011 - now make it with silver oxide.

1ukjunglednbraver Says:

Oct 9, 2011 - ive made this with so many diffrent types of aluminium powder like atomized 30micron ball 14 micron flake and 2-4 micron german dark the best is the atomised 30micron ball but its isnt anything like this i can only assume my copper oxide is of poor quality or my ratios are wrong i want this type of stuff thus is what i want...sure i can make flash powder but this stuff is diffrent and seems more cool to me...i just want this effect

atourdeforce Says:

Oct 18, 2011 - he clearly used copper oxide, but your wrong there are 2 types of readily available iron oxides iron2 oxide (which is black) and iron3 oxide (which is red) both are good for thermite and have the exact same properties.

WhosUrFingDaddy Says:

Oct 20, 2011 - What was the mix ratio?

NitrusJunglist Says:

Dec 19, 2011 - He used aluminum and copper oxide you dumb F**K

shittiger Says:

Mar 21, 2012 - i love chemistry

RadioTrefoil Says:

May 26, 2012 - OMG, you destroyed a perfectly good crucible :( but good explosion anyway.
