May 21, 2012 - so pretty much what your saying is this - " If you don't think this movie is a masterpiece , you don't know good movies " what a nasty arrogant attitude that is..I assure you I know a lot more about "good" movies then you...and i think it is a fine film, but far from a masterpiece...

123Jenny90 Says:

May 21, 2012 - This is not arrogant attitude at all! Don't be too hasty to judge my friend. There are some people who commented saying that it was weird, some watched it for the lesbian scene. It was weird in the manner of insanity that Nina was going through, the movie itself is not weird. And how do you know what movies I consider good and what bad and that I'm arrogant. Have you known me for that long? I'm just sorry that I underestimated your confidence if that's how you took it. Lol!

123Jenny90 Says:

May 21, 2012 - I found this film to be a true masterpiece, not just a masterpiece. Well told story, great cast, it puts you on an emotional edge and it makes you discover thoroughly the experience of the obsession of a sick mind. It's something different that we haven't seen in a long time. That's why I like it so much. Now, everyone has a different opinion about it, you may have not perceived it that way and that's ok. But don't you dare call me arrogant! That's an insult!

Yukikoandthe Says:

May 22, 2012 - In Sigmund Freud's structural model of the psyche, there's the id, ego and super ego. The white swan was the ego, the organized part of the psyche that works with the id's desires and and the black swan is the id, the unorganized part of the psyche which also involves one's libido. Her desire to be perfect is involved with the super-ego, which opposes the desires of the id. In the end her ego "died" which is involved in reality principles and embraced her id and super-ego, desire for perfection

Yukikoandthe Says:

May 22, 2012 - (Continuation) Part of her super-ego died because she lost her morality as well and super-ego is the psyche's inner critique, also dealing with moral values. but her desire for perfection remained intact also her id and super-ego were not opposing each other because through her embrace of her id she gained perfection

akamarb Says:

May 22, 2012 - you're a little arrogant piggie..lol

123Jenny90 Says:

May 22, 2012 - Haha! :) Save yourself the embarrassment. I'm sure you are better than that. Have someone to build you some manners.

cartup Says:

May 22, 2012 - I can not a masterpiece, it has great performances, photography, times, music, plot and by the ignorance of ballet and the ability to want to move to the role of the protagonist, as happened with Rocky and Top Gun, overestimating us. Natalie Portman has a special face and that also influences. I still say that the movie without some sex scenes would have been more elegant. It is not sex, but because I think that's a masterpiece, a rare, large, special and lesbian scene eg to follow a fashion

Lucky42lvl Says:

May 22, 2012 - I've never seen this movie, but I want to.

HankJennings Says:

May 23, 2012 - This so called "masterpiece" is very shallow & easy to figure out. Anyone who thinks this is deep & very hard to interpret should check out films like Persona, The Trial, or any Kubrick film. Aronofsky is a pissant compared to Kubrick, Bergman, or Welles.

PikachuClan Says:

May 23, 2012 - Pikachu: this is one of the scariest horror films I've ever watched! D: Eleanor: it made me stay up all night! *cries*

basakiify Says:

May 24, 2012 - ı watched this trailer almost hundred times .Very impressive trailer , very impressive film , Natalie Portman is gorgeous .This film also shows that how human psychology is complicated and in our subconcious there can be very weird thoughts , like Nina we have different sides that we fear to face , this confrontation can be devastating sometimes

crazybananagurl1999 Says:

May 24, 2012 - @HankJennings I love Stanley Kubrick films. Especially Alien.

Greck Lynch Says:

May 25, 2012 - Are you not joking?? This film is the worst shit you can pay too see. Everything is bad in this film. the script, the direction, the acting .... I was shaken after spending time on thisI . wasted valueable time of my life on such shit

123Jenny90 Says:

May 25, 2012 - It's not the movie's fault. The majority of people liked it that's why it was such a success. You have the right to dislike it it's okay, but don't call it shit, it's not fair.

Greck Lynch Says:

May 25, 2012 - just not a good film and it tells a lot about peoples taste in general if they like this kind of crap (sorry but crap is the word to use..)

May 27, 2012 - This film is on its way to becoming a real classic. It was amazing on the big screen in the theater- anyone who got to see it when it came out, you were a part of something that will one day be looked at as something very special. :) It is like thinking back to how it must have been for people who got to see other classic films much older than this one when they first came out.

Taffy1016 Says:

May 27, 2012 - SHE MASTERBATES AKWARDLY

chris lafleur Says:

May 27, 2012 - Yea too bad that wasn't Kubrick that was Ridley Scott, Kubrick never directed Alien and even if he was still alive he never would have
