Mar 2, 2011 - Word.

Mar 2, 2011 - Love the F5. Love film. It's hard to work with in terms of processing, but it's great. I was listening to a top Rolling Stone photographer speak the other day and said that he HATES digital, and LOVES film. Film hasn't died. Even the pros still use it.

Mar 2, 2011 - Love my bag, but would probably do better with one of those backpack jobbies. I think they can store more equipment more efficiently. This bag I have lenses stacked on top of each other, so it's a little cumbersome.

Mar 2, 2011 - Don't know about everyone else, but I have my eye on the new Nikon 28-300 VR (non-DX). Got great reviews. Would likely get rid of my old 24-120, 28 and 35mm lenses. Keep my 50mm and 85mm. Also need to get a serious 70-200. Big bucks. Anyone have the 28-300 VR? What do you think?
feistybastard Says:
Mar 2, 2011 - STOP IT!
feistybastard Says:
Mar 2, 2011 - Not too sure. If you change lenses then I suppose you keep your lenses stored away until you decide which one you're going to use depending on the application. I don't like to leave lenses attached to my camera body. Feel like the lenses are safer put away rather than being on the body when not in use or in transport. Can tell you how many times I've banged my lens on a door or wall or car door when attached.

Mar 2, 2011 - Yeah, I don't know much about Sony camera products. When I think of Sony I think of TVs and stereos, not cameras. But a couple of their digitals got decent reviews. I live and breath Nikon.
feistybastard Says:
Mar 2, 2011 - Seriously. Is it that hard to take a few steps in or out? Sometimes you even get a new perspective or ideas when you actually MOVE around. I think you really need to walk around and study a subject before you decide where you're going to shoot from. Light being the biggest factor.

Mar 2, 2011 - 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4 ("The Cream Machine"), 35mm 1.4.
feistybastard Says:
Mar 2, 2011 - The old one was really great, but the newer one, I think, is MUCH better. Focusing can be a little slow at times in that it seems to get "confused", but I LOVE the lens. Great bokeh, bouquet, whatever...New one is larger, too.
feistybastard Says:
Mar 2, 2011 - Ugh! I liked my D200, but gosh did I hate the 1.5X compensation. It drove me insane. Every freaking lens was a tele until you put a 35mm or smaller on there. I LOVE the D700. And I love looking at 50mm again instead of 75mm! For the past 2 years I have been shooting my new twin boys...a lot.

Mar 5, 2011 - that's every prime lens in the line up from that generation, hahaha, my goodness
feistybastard Says:
Mar 5, 2011 - I know. I am selling the 28, 85, 24-120 and 70-300 for the 80-200 2.8.

feistybastard Says:
Jan 3, 2012 - THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS. I am working on an update. I shot it three times and went over the 10 min. mark each time. I will get it right one of these days. It will be very different -- in terms of gear -- from the last one. Stay tuned!

Mar 14, 2012 - I hope you got the 80-200 by now. It rocks on the F5, F4 and F100. I use it on my F4 all the time. Nice review. Your gear looks great!
feistybastard Says:
Mar 15, 2012 - Wow. I just want you to know this video is several years old. I've since updated it and I actually need to update it again. But thanks for the comment.
4Patat Says:
Mar 16, 2012 - @feistybastard oops i only just noticed that. You probably own a whole new setup by now. Haha. But the 80-200mm still rocks. :)
feistybastard Says:
Mar 16, 2012 - You're right about the 80-200. Solid lens. Had one for years!

Mar 2, 2011 - Bag weighs too much with all the gear inside. Thanks
