It's funny and a very nice idea (I heared about the history of this returning event, so I know where it comes from), but it ruins the atmosphere of the scene and making it very hard for the actors.Here in the Netherlands it's always 5 players per team, empty stage, sometimes some props and 3 judges.

The current fashion of improv theatre has been credited to Keith Johnstone (and there's nothing Québecois about him).If the Québecois want to do it their own way: fine.
