Aug 11, 2011 - The song is based off a poem "In Flanders Fields". It's about a solder in World War One. You can tell since Chris sings "Drums, Here it comes." 'It' being the enemy. And the "Smoke rising from the houses." You should read up on WW1. Recommend the book "All Quiet on the Western Front" You'll understand a lot better if you do. Anyways, good song one of there best.

Aug 21, 2011 - nah Poppyfields is the ambient instrumental piece right at the end. we know this now because an instrumental of this song named just "Prospekt's March" leaked a few months ago - it fades out pretty much as soon as Chris stop singing the separate sky part.

Aug 21, 2011 - it's amazing how much more powerful this song is thanks to Poppyfields at the end there - even the title alone just adds so much to its meaning. Having said that, I'd die to hear a full version of Poppyfields with lyrics...

Dec 21, 2011 - I think it's of the utmost importance to honour our dead, but I think it's a terrible thing to entwine a sense of pride with dying young, and in vein.

Feb 1, 2012 - HEYYY so pardon the spammy nature of this, but here goes: I'm an unheard-of artist and play, write (music+lyrics), and produce all my own songs. I have an honestly unique blend of different genres (ballads, alt, punk, fucked-up/comedy rap) and am looking to get signed asap. But before I send my demo out to record labels, I wanna have at least a couple thousand views, so anyone who wants to either help out or just hear some great new music should def check out my channel. Thanks a lot.

Apr 15, 2012 - I don't know about the rest of the world, but I thought maybe you'd like to know that poppies are used in tradition for ANZAC Day, an Australian and New Zealand tradition in which we honour the first major offensive by the joint Australian and New Zealand Army Corp (ANZAC) at the Battle of Gallipoli in WW1. Lest We Forget
