May 20, 2012 - 3:20-3:25 = WTF????This is actually an instructional video on how to murder a piece of music.
jondo821 Says:
May 21, 2012 - It seems you are unaware, so i shall explain it to you. The pianist pauses and holds out the note at 3:20 to add a bit of flavor to the piece. In the music it is written as a dotted half note with a fermata meaning the player should hold the note for however long they want. This player decided to hold it for 5 seconds. This explains the 5 second space in which the chord is ringing between 3:20-3:25

May 21, 2012 - This was in a movie but I can't remember which one! Can anyone help me remember?
terrybeaton Says:
May 22, 2012 - That was beautiful. Why did Chopin write only two orchestrations for his piano pieces?
musicislife6260 Says:
May 22, 2012 - I believe it was in the movie "The Pianist"... excellent movie and Chopin's music is played throughout!
impeerfectify Says:
May 22, 2012 - The pianist brought me here, great film with Chopins pieces played throughout.
eaterz11 Says:
May 22, 2012 - Yes! The Pianist is what I was thinking about but couldn't remember well. That's one great movie!

May 24, 2012 - Hetalia may have brought me here, but a good tastes keeping me here ^^
greggzmad Says:
May 24, 2012 - Well I never heard Rachmaninoff playing like that did you? Arsehole. I'd perhaps acknowledge the player's right to play the piece however he likes, if you weren't defending murderation of a beautiful nocturne by being an arse... and a pedant to boot!
gabyc20 Says:
May 25, 2012 - maybe The Pianist.
eaterz11 Says:
May 25, 2012 - yes, the pianist! :P

May 25, 2012 - By the way, this is amazing music to get high to at night while smoking some Indica heavy strain.

May 26, 2012 - He was Polish. Not French.
Kevin McGrath Says:
May 26, 2012 - I picked it up at my local music store. It was about $700 with the stand/seat. Anything cheaper will probably have a drop off in quality.
meginmd Says:
May 27, 2012 - Dexter is the EXACT reason I came here.
meginmd Says:
May 27, 2012 - That's a pretty shitty assumption. I like Dexter AND classical music.
RaneMike Says:
May 27, 2012 - Actually either can argue, he was born in Wola/Warsaw and had a French-Polish parentage, tho he was known as a POLISH composer.

TopSpunk Says:
May 18, 2012 - obviously its in good taste, I just never would have heard this song if it weren't for dexter.
