I remember when I first started listening to Errol Garner, I thought he had a guitar player in his band. Nope, his right hand is really a freak of nature. How he got that really relaxed sound in his right hand, while popping every note in his left is a mystery to me. Beautiful playing.

And, he was a superb showman... he put on a great show.

Jan 11, 2012 - - the improvisation, the rhythm and the way he structures his chords (the voicing). But, what's even more amazing to me (as a piano player), is that he isn't looking at the keyboard most of the time.
