Sep 16, 2011 - What happened to the twine that was wrapped around the legs?

kidsuse22 Says:

Sep 16, 2011 - I don't have a plan for this, but it's pretty simple. 1" dowels for the rails that go into holes 3/4" deep. 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" hardwood legs. Lots o' twine. The twine doesn't go around the outside of the leg, it crosses underneath inside the leg. It'll make lots of sense once you start winding.I finish the twine off with another clove hitch on the rail after you've made your last loop.George

Sep 16, 2011 - One continuous loop of twine - it would seem that if anything happened to any part of it the whole thing would begin unraveling?

kidsuse22 Says:

Sep 19, 2011 - Yes, keep your sharp pocket knife away from the twine.

MrSalmonguy Says:

Nov 13, 2011 - So I watched one of you videos (stave construction) where you used Titebond III because it is waterproof. Here you used Titebond II and this is going to be used outside where it can get rained on. Why wouldn't you use waterproof glue on every woodworking project as added insurance?I would also use a clamp or two (or even a long strap around the cross pieces and the bench), to hold the stool to the bench to hold it in place so the wraps can be tightened down.
