May 24, 2012 - It's hard to say wether this music will still be played in forty years. I guess we wil find out. My sense is that music is changing into something totaly differnt and this great music will become forgotten.

May 24, 2012 - If by "famous" you mean being a backing guitarist and session musician who played small clubs in the evening then yeah..he was knocking their socks off. I'm sure Jimi had recognition amongst fellow musos in the US but his name became known widely there due to the guitar burning performance at Monterey. True, he was added to the bill, supposedly at Paul McCartney's suggestion, but that was after London and European success. Pre-London I would class him as known but not famous.

May 25, 2012 - Chas from the Animal's discovered his raw talent, then lured him to London, set him up with Mitch and Noel, and the rest is history......Funny thing, Chas stopped by a Little Richard recording that Jimi was playing on, allegedly!....Fluke chance, and he discovered arguable the BEST EVER!!!......One thing I would have LOVED to see, was members of the Stones, Beatles, The Who, and Clapton all sitting around watching Hendrix play..........LOL
