Apr 28, 2012 - Lisa Fisher rocks this song and Jagger sounds pretty good, too. Sounds like he's practiced up for this session. Go Lisa!!!!

May 15, 2012 - You're right that the Stones were really playing serious at this gig. But for the record, that's not Mary Clayton on vocals with Mick Jagger in this particular version. It's Lisa Fischer. And her vocal range is absolutely comparable to Mary Clayton's, IMO.

May 15, 2012 - Every great once in a blue moon, some cinematographer somewhere will go out and catch a legendary band giving a legendary performance of one of their classics. That's exactly what happened here. A finer recording before or since has not been captured on film of the Stones performing Gimme Shelter, IMO. This is a really special performance. My goodness the vocal range of Lisa Fischer!! If a man tried hitting notes like that, he'd rupture himself. LOL!!

May 16, 2012 - everyone notices Keith's huge grin after the solo, but just after 1:41 it looks like he knows this is gonna be the one, looks like he shouts at Lisa 'go girl' lol
