Mar 13, 2012 - Damn Yankees think they know the South. This is a great tribute to a man who taught. For all you damn racists; some say that bluegrass started with Earl Scruggs three finger picking style, that he learned from a black man in the mountains of NC. The banjo came from Africa and was the primary instrument played with fiddle music until the late 1800s.

jwbmedea Says:

Mar 13, 2012 - This was back in the day for me with Southern rock, country, old-time fiddle, blues, soul, bluegrass, jazz, classical, and Jimi. I have probably heard this song a thousand times in a hundred different places and I have never heard mention of what you claim. I wish you would find a copy and post it.

Mar 14, 2012 - my fav lynrd skynrd song. i love it. i am from the south and the lyrics touch my soul. this is a song about a man ( black, white, pink, or purple idc what his color is, so who is the racist? ) sharing his love of music w/this child. and anyone that can do that be it love of music, art, literature, or whatever and instill, and pass on that love is a shining example of a person, idc if he has polka dots O.O so just feel the love in the song and let go of the hate ppl. we got enough hate dont we?
