Feb 20, 2012 - @jpmac, dude you're dead wrong, vibrations do loosen any screw type connections, otherwise why would anyone use locking nuts or lockwashers. Also, loose connections can interupt specific (single or multiple) channels and cause error messages to pop up. Try loosening you cable wire a 1/2 turn and see if you don't loose a few channels.

Mar 24, 2012 - If the channel says "not authorized" or "subscription service" you have an account issue specifically with the box thats on that account. If it says " one moment please" then you have a signal issue. Press cable>power>"ok" until a blue screen comes up and then check interactive info. make sure youre pulling an ip address and the box state says "Running". If it says unconfigured then you have a coding issue on the account. (Source:) I am a comcast technician

They have to ask about whether the cable is plugged in because 90% of the time, simple things like that are the problem. That being said, yeah, that guy is a prick.
