So restrict your tactics to what is essential and has a broad range of uses and drill those tactics, discard the rest until you think they might be of use. Most of fighting has little to do with working memory, and adrenaline can blank the mind quickly, you need a few things trained to reflex that should help. Watch street fight videos and see what people used to win. Usually it's basic.
