Jun 26, 2008 - damn. props!
HalDanGhor Says:
Jul 28, 2008 - I preferred to be level 50 to beat Chaos. Getting there is not that long when we know where to level up! When we are strong enough, we can fight the Eye in the Ice Cave. It's always there and it gives good and fast experience points! It dies quickly too! I only knew that BANE could work against Tiamat in the Mirage Tower. Can it really work against Chaos? I completed solo games with all 6 characters. It is possible to succeed with any of them! The most difficult are indeed White and Black MAGES.

Sep 29, 2008 - You are using the Opal bracelet for armor which has 24 absorb, but I think the Gold one has 34, and both have 1 evade, so it is strictly better (I think RM and RW can both use gold...) Not that you needed it.
HalDanGhor Says:
Sep 30, 2008 - The opal is the best Bracelet in the whole game. If I remember well, there were some mistakes about their absorb on the maps etc we got with the original game. Believe, me, I tested it. Opal is much better! ;)

Oct 28, 2008 - Epic win!
lothrazar Says:
Jan 28, 2009 - Yeah the walkthrough I was reading is wrong. Opal is the best you and almost every other source is right.

Mar 19, 2009 - Woo, yeah!

Nov 6, 2009 - FF 1 SUCKS thats why i got the remake (ff 1 dawn of souls) only difference is better graphics, music, full spell names (like cur2 is now cura) and extented dialouge. nothing else changes
HalDanGhor Says:
Nov 19, 2009 - There are more caves in FF1 Dawn of Souls. There is also a Monster List and their drops. Fights are different, and some bosses have different HP than the original game. To me, those 2 are 2 different games that look like each other. ;)
mahboimustdie Says:
Nov 30, 2009 - yeah, but dawn of souls is still better.

Dec 5, 2009 - that's just an opinion

Jan 9, 2010 - @Uglytastic This guy must have been using Saves States on emulator... Virtually impossible without it...
crazemaster89 Says:
Jun 23, 2010 - Red Mages can use lvl 8 spells?...
HalDanGhor Says:
Jul 4, 2010 - No, they really cannot. ;)
thrustfang Says:
Sep 25, 2010 - @UglytasticActually, XXXX is a special spell, along with STUN and BLND. Those three do not work off a % success rate but rather check two things - the target's current HP, and the target's resistance. If the target's current HP is 300HP or less, and they do not resist the element, it is guaranteed to work. If the target has more than 300HP currently, or resists the element, it fails. There's no 1/201 chance of success (not 3/256, it's 1/201).
HalDanGhor Says:
Jun 15, 2011 - @f4rtg34ji I still doubt that somebody was lucky enough to do that on console. I know the game VERY well, and unless he used a game genie, nobody can be lucky enough to get passed the Temple of Fiends being that low levelled and having enough luck to prevail on every fight, especially the fights against 4 Fiends, Chaos + monsters such as Gas Dragons, Waters, Earths, Mages, Phantom. Don't forget that it's impossible to resurrect a dead party member. Avoiding death in so many fights? Nope...
HalDanGhor Says:
Jun 16, 2011 - @f4rtg34ji Yeah, but I still am very sceptical about that one. What could have been interesting is to see a live video of it, not a TAS as we often see, but a real video while we can see the guy playing at the same time we see the game go on... For this kind of accomplishment, we need more than only talk from the person who supposedly went through it all successfully...
1aundulxaldin Says:
Jun 19, 2011 - What I know about Magic in general in video games could fill a thimble halfway, and I know level 8 spells are out of Red Mage's league. I mean, come ON. This is Red Mage we're talking about. The guy whose ENTIRE Cult stupided themselves into extinction.
