Added: Jul 14, 2009

Author: MotorTrend

Duration: 1:23

Description:
In a recent comparison, Cadillac's all-new 556 horsepower CTS-V sedan dominated the BMW M5 in a drag race battle. But there's a new competitor in the super sedan segment - Jaguar's 510 horsepower XFR. Can it take the crown away from Cadillac's CTS-V?

Apr 3, 2012 - Yes i get the fact that the Cadillac is more powerful, more economical, cheaper, and just overall better then any other car in it's class. But is it worth it? I mean will it constantly be breaking down after say 4-5 years? Is it reliable? Can it withstand the wear and tear other cars can? because trust me, the BMW is King when it comes to that, and I would probably say that about the Jaguar as well. American cars are good, but they never last long enough. Personal experience has proven that.

goarmy979 Says:

Apr 3, 2012 - i had my cadillac since 1998 and i took it to a gm dealership about 3 months ago to get it inspected and they said that it has about 4 more years to go until it breaks down. jaguars have alot of problems with their engines and a bmw starts to have problems when it hits about 110,000 miles

mihaivls89 Says:

Apr 8, 2012 - the difference is so small ... and the looks on the cadillac SO bad ... that a fraction of a second is so not worth it... the cadillac has no style ... no personality... i would rather have the 3liter version of the xf than having this american uglyness....

PmPbreeze Says:

Apr 8, 2012 - If u want real speed ride a bike I would leave both cars on my back wheel lol of my 1000cc Kawi lol

TheBeaverguy21 Says:

Apr 8, 2012 - The Jag looks amazing from front to back...the cadillac looks very cheap int he back. i would take the jaguar hands down..

kronicdella Says:

Apr 9, 2012 - ok your one ignorant american asshole ive had a 1986 and a 1992 jaguar soveriegn and not once was there any problem with my cars so keep your stupidity to yourself and shut your mouth just face it jaguars are much better than any american car ever made

masterzen000 Says:

Apr 9, 2012 - @kronicdella ur trying to say that a jag is better than a corvette zr1 viper srt mustang gt500 camaro zl1??? Umm no. I would take a cts v over the jag any day

dwarted Says:

Apr 10, 2012 - yay go cadilac!!!!!

JELH Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - Cadillac may be fast, but it's ugly as sin. Not that the Jaguar is any beauty to behold, either...

Tgangsta245 Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - Cts-v might be cheap and does break down but are cheap as hello to fix. Your bill will skyrocket if you had to change a part on a JAG.

mr82x Says:

Apr 12, 2012 - with one of the like worst chassis in the world :D

Rapide0910 Says:

Apr 13, 2012 - No. That doesn't make it the ''fastest sedan in the world''. When a sedan does an admirable 'Ring time, it makes it the 'Best Handling Sedan (as of now)'. If you want fast, then talk about acceleration and top speed, which in this case makes the M5 currently the new fastest sedan. And yes, it's rear wheel drive.

Rapide0910 Says:

Apr 13, 2012 - Impressive indeed. How's the ride and comfort?

Lcheetah Says:

Apr 14, 2012 - The ride is insane, I took of the traction control one day and well lets say I am never doing that again. It still rides like a Cadillac. During normal driving conditions it doesn't feel like you have over 500 hp under the hood. I love everything about it. It can be calm when you want it to be but then all hell breaks loose when the beast is unleashed.

blazzing4321 Says:

Apr 15, 2012 - CTS-V is the best luxury sports car you can buy, hands down.'Merica <3

floaterHD Says:

Apr 19, 2012 - you do realize ferrari borrowed suspension technology from the cadillac to make its 458 Italia right? and that cadillac beat just about every sedan out there around the Nurburgring, the famous german track designed to test handling.

dunhillsupramk3 Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - you do know cadillac took suspension technology from mercedes benz to make the CTS... and the subaru impreza, mitsubishi lancer evo and porsche panamera was all faster around the ring... so its not the fastest sedan out there

dunhillsupramk3 Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - the subaru impreza, mitsubishi lancer evo and porsche panamera was all faster around the ring and they are all sedans so that makes CTS-V the 4th fastest sedan in the world...

ABDUL RAHIMAN Says:

May 5, 2012 - it is an american ad which misleads viewers. in the ad he used the phrase`what if we told you`. see. the governments dont allow ads to say false information. so this is a loophole cadillac used. and all caddy fans, there are better sedans than the cts veg = maserati quattroporte, porsche panamera, aston martin rapide, bmw m5 and the e63 amg merc

floaterHD Says:

May 5, 2012 - It is the fastest RWD sedan to go around the nurburgring, only beaten by the AWD porsche panamera, which costs a large amount more. and ferrari did use suspension that caddilac had used, they may not have intentionally done it, but it is a very similar suspension (magnetic ride control).

marioblue23 Says:

May 10, 2012 - It would be fastest if it wasnt so heavy

myjanuary151987 Says:

May 12, 2012 - He-he-he. There are only two manufacturers in the world who know how to make cars luxurious and techy: japs and americans. Germans and others can cry about their flappy cars with manual transmission and manual windows, air conditioneer and list of pricey options.

ABDUL RAHIMAN Says:

May 18, 2012 - it is not the fastest sedan but the best handling sedan. but i would choose the jaguar xfr in a heartbeat because the m5 and the cts v both look ugly and there are a lot of e class amgsso i would enjoy that exclusivity. thanks for the information!!

regdorsey1986 Says:

May 19, 2012 - BMWs have problems way sooner than that. Mine needed to replace the tranny after 6 years.

goarmy979 Says:

May 19, 2012 - @Mahayni1994 american cars last forever my 1970 mustang still drives like its brand new and it has 250,000 miles on it. The bmw breaks down after about 10 years
