Feb 2, 2012 - The worlds best military experts are usually very wrong though. There are thousands of troops already in the region. I wouldn't hold my breath for an attack though. They stationed military in the Gulf after the first Iraq war, hence Islamic militants (real ones, not fairytale ones) being very very pissed off. Read Robert Fisk's book "The Great War for Civilization" One of the best books ever written on the Middle East.

Feb 2, 2012 - Well, I would agree with that except that's old school military methodology.(though I agree with alot of "old school methodology) Today, their way of approaching it and intent would be to have assets in-country including Iranians, precision boming of targets designed to cut off gov-military communication, gain control of the air quickly and a host of other things wherein they would occupy with less.

Feb 2, 2012 - I even have a hunch, a very strong one, that they will not actually bomb those nuke facilities from the air but at most have sappers or insiders shut them down if possible(take offline) while they go after other things. They'll try to do this all very rapidly. I think they will want to try to simply get the gov out of the loop of control, convince military higher-ups that resistance is futile and try to collapse it all into their hands and control.

They'vd got the Iranians on edge for an all-out war when in fact it is going to go down far differently.
