May 19, 2012 - Lightning deals "D6" Damage. if a player is taken below 0 hit points in combat said player then rolls a D% to see whether they bleed out. Often DM's will use a homebrew rule which allows players to roll 1D6 per round to see if they stop bleeding.

May 20, 2012 - I feel like 4.0 was designed to allow new players to get into the game and become accustomed to it since most people are complaining about the simplified rules. It's most likely part of a plan to get younger people into D&D. Its not a game thats only for 40 year olds in their mom's basement like the stereotype says, many people played during their younger years. 4.0 is just a new way of appealing to a new audience. It may not be for the "hardcore" player, but it has its place. Sorry for the rant
