Mar 9, 2012 - @TheMasterZag - you need to listen to more guitarists to make that judgement mate - there is more to guitar playing than fast meaningless passionless shredding - i've just listened to about 5 satriani videos on you tube and am completely unmoved by any of them - no melody or harmony - nothing really to cause goosepimples - just mindless screeching at times and fast shredding of the same guitar notes in different ways - i suppose it must be impressive to those who do not play the guitar.

His vibrato is spectacular and he has the ability to mix fusion, blues, metal, clean, dirty, ultra fast licks, slow singing notes, layered melodies, complex harmonies...need i go on. Any good musician realizes we have to be ourselves when playing; our own sounds that we hear in our heads...Listen to ALL of satch's music before trying to pigeon hole him.

May 19, 2012 - Absolutely!!!!! Satch is one self driven guitar god that created so much to the instrument. He's trying to get Jeff Beck to do a G3 tour. I grew up praising Beck and Satch is my other guitar hero.
