Considering they have the casing off between frames and there is only a small amount of water for the test you can hardly judge it's capability - If they ever fully developed such a thing for active use though it would be amazing for getting into tight spots and putting out the smallest sparks to stop fires from spreading.

May 26, 2012 - Should be powered hydraulically. Seems silly to have an electronic robot when it's already going to necessarily be connected to a fire hose. It would be cool to have a bunch of these deployed from a fire engine after being connected to a hydrant, then have some AI direct the snakes to rapidly surround the burning hazard, anchor themselves, aim, lock in place hydraulically, and then start blasting water in the volume and force of a fire hose which they'd be basically specialized nozzles of.
