Dec 25, 2011 - Freedom... as much as I loved his work with the Chili Peppers, he could only go so far with them. His solo work allows for him to experiment with different styles both on the guitar and through vocals, when you're in the world's biggest rock band, there is a lot less room to experiment and create. Personally, I'm 100% thankful he left the peppers, although I do wonder what would have come from 1 more album.
