This video isn't even that bad compared to some other ones from that time, especially the ones that were "white-d out" and had early computer graphics buzzing around the screen. I remember watching early MTV and music paired to video was such a novel thing, it didn't even dawn on you that the video sucked (kinda like when you got your first VCR, you weren't thinking, "Boy, this VHS format looks like crap").
