Sep 11, 2011 - no way in hell it would change you over to clean versions. iTunes also sells explicit albums.
wellhowisit Says:
Sep 11, 2011 - yeah, but explicit music not from iTunes isn't labeled as "explicit." how will iTunes Match know to replace it with an explicit version, and not a clean version by default? would there be an option for explicit versions, or what? confusion!
maubrowncow Says:
Sep 11, 2011 - It's a very good question. Have you checked your metadata?
wellhowisit Says:
Sep 11, 2011 - metadata? this is the first i'm hearing of metadata. :/ and i considered myself computer literate!
maubrowncow Says:
Sep 11, 2011 - In this case mp3 id3 tags. All the information that tell itunes, the artist, the song, the album, the genre, the bpm, the bitrate... all that jazz. It might include some sort of version.?
alapring75 Says:
Sep 15, 2011 - anyone know how may times you can run itunes match? Say I run it next month, I rip a CD the month after that, can you run itunes match on a regular basis?
maubrowncow Says:
Sep 15, 2011 - as often as you like!
klavr Says:
Oct 16, 2011 - You pay for a year of unlimited use
Fmiami1980 Says:
Oct 17, 2011 - ? for anyone who's tried this. What if you have a song that is not tagged in any way AND has multiple releases over the years due to it's popularity. Will iTunes match let me choose from a "possibles" list for each of those tracks? Or will just force me to accept the one it thinks is it.
CameleonRed Says:
Oct 22, 2011 - Wait, so let me clear a couple of things up. If you activate iCloud, music is stored on *both* iPhone/ iPod Touch/ iPad etc? Also, if you have some songs in your iTunes which have been transferred from a CD or pirated, iTunes Match will replace them and you get to keep them in your non-iCloud library if you choose to download them on your phone for good at highest quality with album art and correct labels?

Dec 19, 2011 - @checkoutmrpushypants It could mean that your iPhone's memory is full but you still have 5 GB free in iCloud maybe?

Glimmerpost Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - I have a question. If I activate iTunes Match but didn't purchase all songs in my library from iTunes Store, will they still be matched/uploaded? Please respond. If the answer is yes, what will happen when I go to find that particular song in iTunes Store, will it be recognized there and will I be able to click on it's play button?
gabinahore Says:

wellhowisit Says:
Sep 11, 2011 - What I'm worried about is explicit music. I don't want to pay for iTunes Match just for any of my explicit music not purchased from iTunes to be changed to clean versions. Any word on this?
