May 25, 2012 - i think you're making a mistake here. santana probably will beat King in terms of sped, but if you listen to santana live you'll notice he fucks up quite a lot of his own stuff. therefore i believe santana won't be able to beat BB King in preciscion. the way BB King plays his solo's is always spot on, even though he plays on a different rhythm than his band. so i'd say santana and BB King are at most evenly matched :)

And he had to have amazing soul in his playing, which he does. As I told another gentleman in these comments, see King's Live at the Regal for one of the high points in the blues. Also, having a video of yourself playing by yourself in your garage does not give you credibility. Knowing what you're talking about does.
