Mar 6, 2012 - Actually, if you look closely you'll see the string breaking at 0:10... The guy who uploaded the video should've let this be clearer.

Mar 6, 2012 - @ Koloarie Yeah the Edge tremolos still have that problem. I have one and when I break a string the tuning goes to shit haha

Mar 6, 2012 - What is this kind of music used for?
ridemfast55 Says:
Mar 7, 2012 - Hideously titled(..."genius" recovery...) and hideously recorded.

Mar 7, 2012 - third.
Labruin1414 Says:
Mar 9, 2012 - - The reason for the title I'm sure was because when the string breaks like it did on Vai's guitar the tuning goes completely outa whack with the floating bridges. He has to raise and lower the pitches all into tune with his whammy bar, so it actually is pretty dang hard to get it to all sound like a string didn't break.
gtxguitarfreak Says:
Mar 10, 2012 - all of you are fucking retarded. he plays on a floating tremelo which means if you break a string, your pretty much fucked cuz everything comes outta tune. that really is a genius recovery by a genius man
ridemfast55 Says:
Mar 11, 2012 - There is nothing genius about Steve Vai. Any classically trained guitarist can play with the same technical skill. There is nothing original about him either. He isn't the first to play classical licks with rock sounds. Is he a skilled player?..yes. Is he a genius?...not by a long shot.
gtxguitarfreak Says:
Mar 11, 2012 - Cmon dude are you kidding me? the music he writes is so unique and amazing... that is genius
ridemfast55 Says:
Mar 12, 2012 - Anybody can be unique by being different. Walk down the street wearing pink pants, zebra print shirt, lime green shoes, and guess what.....you're unique. Being unique counts for something in my book but as you can see sometime it may only appeal to the guy or gal doing it. This Kinks cover is an example of that.

Apr 7, 2012 - So... what did he do?
absintheangel777 Says:
May 19, 2012 - He's a genius guitarist but it really was just the roadies doing their job and the drummer paying attention. This probably happens quite frequently.
