Sep 15, 2011 - An absolutely BRILLIANT song, great recording and production, and of course a dynamite vocal performance from Barbara Dickson. Hard to imagine our music charts contained music of this quality considering the utter dross masquerading as talent nowadays. I know it is fashionable amongst those of us of a certain age to say 'Oh it was better in my day'....But it truly was.Great post, thanks.

Oct 7, 2011 - Released around the time Cliff scored with We Don't Talk and Carrie, another excellent song showcasing Alan Tarney's production.

Oct 8, 2011 - one that sands the test of time classic

GibbyGibbyGibb Says:

Oct 14, 2011 - She reminds me a little of Frida from ABBA in the Super Trouper vid...understated classy prettiness and she doesn't look like a silly little girl like the singers now. These days if your over say, 30, forget it.

Feb 18, 2012 - Part of writer-producer Alan Tarney's phenomenal 1979-1980 run of fine singles for Cliff Richard (We Don't Talk Any More, Dreamin', A Little in Love), Barbara Dickson (this), and Leo Sayer (Once in a While, Living in a Fantasy). Once in a While is especially wonderful.

Feb 26, 2012 - Very interesting.....Alan Tarney is a genius. Then of course I realised he was behind "Wired for Sound", the sonic fingerprint is unmistakeable but I never put 2 & 2 together for all these years. Great sounds on these records - just wondering if that is "tack" piano used on the intro amongst the other acoustic instruments & synths?

loatherd Says:

Apr 6, 2012 - At 30 you're a wippersnaper.

HawkeyeBrodine Says:

Apr 7, 2012 - I remember this song. It very classic & Excellent

nivram0544 Says:

Apr 18, 2012 - alan tarney and trevor spencer aka the tarney / spencer band are the genius's behind this song and production.

rogerscottq Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - Tarney also produced Sayer's version of "More Than I Can Say". There is a definite echo in this song for Dickson with "We don't talk anymore".

nivram0544 Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - yes i know. all of Tarney's productions are similar just like Joe Meek or Phil Spector. - all these guys have their own "wall of sound" or music production style signature.!try also Cliff Richard; Aha; many many others too - see wikipedia page. good luck to you.

gallafey Says:

May 2, 2012 - that electric keybord/organ at the start of the video of which can be heard throughout most of this record sonuds the same sort of organ that was used for Cliff Richards hit We Don't Talk Any More
