http://www.HippyGourmet.comhttp://hippygourmet.com/blogIn this segment from the Hippy Gourmet TV show, we visit with Bob Schneeveis, the inventor of the Solar Powered Walking Chariot!Bob is a brilliant and eccentric character who studies nature and then turns it into sustainable, solar-electric vehicles and gadgets...Bob also donates his time to students studying robotics, and certainly gets our award for being the truest of nutty professors!Check out how clean powered engine drives these legs and rollerblades in such a human-like fashion...amazing! This thing actually has a lot of kick to it and is capable of covering all kinds of terrain it seems.Best of all, this chariot demonstrates that earth-happy innovations and creativity are all around us.For more solar vehicle fun, check out these clips http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ4B0eiX_achttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYTsLmnhCs8http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UC4UdjYH_NoFollow us on Twitter:http://twitter.com/HippyGourmetBecome a Fan on Facebook:http://www.facebook.com/pages/Organic-Living-with-the-Hippy-Gourmet/46645768773

Nov 16, 2010 - Pretty cool, but I don't think we're getting the full story. The feet have wheels and glide at times; how is it possible that the feet are the only source of locomotion as implied; how would there be any traction? Can the inventor back up this claim?

Feb 14, 2011 - take those panels and put them in the basement.first you take a parabolic solar concentrator and put an robotic arm on it to follow the suns path.then make the focal point a mirrored shape cone that will send the light down through mirrored glass tubing straight into a mirrored shape glass box inside the mirrored shape box will be several solar panels that spin to keep them cool the mirrored box must have the mirrors inward to reflect the light sending from the parabolic focal point.ken van horn
