Jon didn't attack Jim. He attacked CNBC after Rick Santelli's called homeowners essentially worthless and got cheers from wallstreet bankers. Jon did a bit highlighting CNBC's involvement in the crisis; to which Jim took personal offence to and attack Jon; at which point it became a media event to interview.
