Jan 3, 2012 - Not sure how much of that history was really in this song. Mostly I feel it is about married love and old man loving Margeret. But just so everyone else knows: the Germans called the Dutch Royal family on the telephone and threatened to bomb Rotterdam to hell unless they surrendered. They surrendered and the Germans bombed Rotterdam anyway. There was no time for evacuation.
