May 26, 2012 - I saw a touring company perform Cats in Birmingham, AL in 1988 or so. I didn't really care for the show that much for most of it; Eliot's poems just didn't make particularly good songs. BUT then there's this song - WOW!! What an absolutely wonderful song!! And Elaine Paige nails it. Just terrific!

May 17, 2012 - Not quite as good as Betty Buckley, but close. At the point where the song reaches "Touch me" Betty has the advantage. Otherwise both versions are equally exquisite.
