May 26, 2012 - You're definitely right about that last bit, I could name a few local musicians who are miles ahead of the 'best' (most famous) musicians. And what I meant by 'not making mistakes' wasn't that they play whatever song perfectly as it's written, but they make their mistakes work. Only a select few are able to do this... I'm also a musician and i don't include myself in that group.

May 27, 2012 - i really don't think that is something worth bitching about. if you listen to some of the solos Kurt did on their CD's, you would know that he knows how to play the guitar. the problem with their live performances, is that a majority of the time, Kurt was completely unconcerned with playing or singing well.

May 27, 2012 - Absolutely 100% true!!!!!!! Now how come Nirvana do that because they did the same damn thing time after time. Nirvana certainly didn't learn from their mistakes in the slightest because they were "bored" and "faking it" as Kurt has claimed numerous times. There isn't a single live Nirvana video here on youtube where there isn't at least 1 mistake. On a few of their video's there's hundreds of mistakes, making them the worst performances of a all time. And there's no excuse for that. None.

Now only that, with what he did in not caring, that's spitting on musicianship and everything and all else because he didn't care. What's worse in that since he didn't care, it effectively teaches others how to be and do the exact same thing. Once again, good job.

May 27, 2012 - You're right, i do idolize him because of his unconcerned attitude. i personally think it took a lot of balls to go up on the MTV stage and start singing "Rape Me" whenever they specifically told him not too. A big part of his attitude was just to let everyone know that he was going to do what he wanted, and no one was going to stop him.
