Dec 15, 2011 - I couldn't find the post you are responding to, but am I getting this straight? SOMEONE DOESN'T LIKE JOHN ARCH?? And considers Jim "wasting his time"? LOL OOF! This to me will be Fates Warning album number four. =)

Dec 15, 2011 - Fates Warning album number four.

Dec 21, 2011 - OMG! This song is like the heavier, updated version of my favorite Fates song, Exodus, from Awaken The Guardian! Arch's vocals are still incredible, and mixing the classic lyrics from Exodus with the powerful music is like the true 80's prog metal is back, in a way not seen since Night On Brocken.

Dec 24, 2011 - I'm a fan of all those vocalists actually... none of these compare to Warrel Dane or Stu Block... but you know. Though Labrie can be rough. Also the reason people like Arch is because he's very distinctive... very different as well to Ray Alder (Fate's Warning, Redemption) who replaced him. But yeah, it is a bit of an acquired taste... certainly can't complain about his ability to hit notes though

Dec 26, 2011 - arch matheos is a masterpiece..arch kicks ass like the old school days, ray alder is still an amazing singer, redemption's new cd also kicks ass,new fates cd on 2012 with ray.arch matheos live in kit fest and who knows where else..i mean..why the hell we fight if alder is better from arch or the opposite when this is one of the most happiest periods for us fans seen the fates community being so active?alder is a god so does arch..RESPECT

Mar 28, 2012 - How is this not fates warning???

scripteaze Says:

Apr 6, 2012 - Just because he has range, doesnt mean he can sing. I am from the 80's and also was a metal vocalist back then and i was never into the whinney voices of metal, other than mike howe from metal church. I was into RJD(RIP), ray gillen, tony martin or any of the vocalist singing on the TYR or headless cross albums(CD's) back then. This guy always painted a very different melodic color then what i was used to. Not sying he's terrible, just a little to out of place for me.

RTB668 Says:

Apr 12, 2012 - It was an acquired taste for me when I first discovered Fates Warning waaaay way back in the day. I never disliked his voice but I failed to appreciate it's uniqueness at first. Don't know when it happened or how but over time I became aware of just how much I truly enjoyed his voice/singing. I'm sure his vocal melodies played in to that as well.I am a John Arch fan!

RTB668 Says:

Apr 12, 2012 - Sir. I regard your opinion with the same disdain that I reserve for rodent stool and urban Hip Hop culture. Additionally, I simply cannot abide when motherfuckers be trippin'.

Apr 12, 2012 - Good to know.

RTB668 Says:

Apr 12, 2012 - Aw, come on! That was funny! ;-)

Apr 21, 2012 - Arch is the king of metal singers.

smwatkins72 Says:

Apr 21, 2012 - It's time to cast pretensions aside and acknowledge that this is a Fates Warning album and that ANY project that Jim Matheos does from here on out should include John Arch as vocalist. With all due respect to Ray Alder THIS is what Fates Warning is and forever shall be.

SonataFanatica Says:

May 7, 2012 - Just imagine how incredibly AWESOME an album with both Arch AND Alder would be!! Clash Of The Titans! Meeting Of The Generations! o.O

dangerriff Says:

May 10, 2012 - Napierdalac!

toobarific Says:

May 15, 2012 - I can't get over how good his voice is after all these years. I grew up in the Hartford area and used to see FW a lot in the 80's. I still listen to early FW to this day. Can't believe I'm just finding out about this project here and now! And I can't believe I just missed this show at the Webster!!! I live 10 minutes from Hartford......GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
