Jan 9, 2012 - - It is sad that so many people distort the relationship between Spock and Kirk. They loved each other but in a NON SEXUAL way. Their bond made the show great.
Mikanojo Says:
Jan 9, 2012 - i agree completely.. people who have no respect for Trek, who have only immature ideas about love, who confuse it with sex - these people are dishonoring the memory of the show for the sake of their sexual daydream. Apparently young Mr. Shattner and Mr. Nimoy were such sex symbols that gay men and girls who get excited by gay men are having kink sex dreams about them and now trying to spread lies about the characters on YouTube. It is awful.
Draqonelle1 Says:
Jan 10, 2012 - See the problem is that you are implying that the superior relationship is brotherly platonic love and devotion. Why should a person consider a loving homosexual relationship based on love and devotion, inferior to a platonic one? If that is your belief than that is your belief that is another issue entirely.(Cont)
Draqonelle1 Says:
Jan 10, 2012 - If Spock and Kirk are gay how does that change the beautiful bond of love we all can see between them? We don't just say that they are gay as an insult, we want to find these sort of characters in our lives. The question is are you okay with a loving gay couple who will live and die for each other... some people can't deal with that. Because we all know that this show depicted such a strong love between two men that it actually started ALL slash fandom. We should be celebrating love in its IDIC

We don't say that they are gay as an insult, we want to find these sort of characters in our lives. The question, is are you okay with a loving gay couple who will live and die for each other? Can't we celebrate love and IDIC? The infinite combinations of lovers, brothers, friends, comrades? That make this relationship so compelling. And you can always mash on the dislike button

Jan 10, 2012 - I am lesbian, married to a wonderful woman, and have absolutely no issue with homosexuality at all. It is not really a question of accepting homosexuality, it is a question of letting some people who have no respect for Trek as it actually was, trying to reinvent the characters to suit their sexual kink. Saying that they were gay is a blatant lie, and the lie being spread dishonors the story and the author of the story.
Mikanojo Says:
Jan 10, 2012 - It is NOT a matter of superior or inferior, it is a matter of fact as opposed to fiction. This can be applied to any characters in any book. Suppose that some one started a site or wrote a book dedicated to Harry Potter, but decided to make him muggle, claimed Ron was gay and Hermione was actually a death eater.. would you appreciate such a site or deny its claims as being a lying mockery of the original story? i love and respect the ACTUAL story, not the mockery.
Mikanojo Says:
Jan 10, 2012 - If Kirk and Spock had been gay it would have been fine. But they were not. Ever. And to push the lie until it becomes a small following of yaoi fandom just to give you and your little group one more reason to fantasize and touch your selves dishonors the characters, and the incredible work that Trek became. The fact remains, the characters were not gay, their form of love was brotherly, not sexual, and no amount of revisionist porn is ever going to change that.

Jan 14, 2012 - people of youtube pls see in the relationship what you will. i personally like K/S cause i just do but its fine to see them as friends too. plus may i remind people of the term T'hy'la which means friend brother and lover. they can be all or just one but the creator of the show coined that term so it is completely legit to see them as lovers or brothers.
davidls11 Says:
Jan 16, 2012 - Calm down.

Jan 16, 2012 - 1,771,561 tribbles would make a nice bed.
Mikanojo Says:
Jan 16, 2012 - The slash game is not American but it seems it took Americans to turn it into desecration of loving memories and assassination of characters, How does dishonoring a show by twisting the main characters into homoerotic fantasy in any way honor them? It is only honoring the fetish of some people who apparently do not have enough actually gay people in their lives so they must invent them.
Mikanojo Says:
Jan 16, 2012 - From the novelization of Star Trek, editor's comment on t'hy'la and the lovers rumor: "I was never aware of this 'lovers' rumor, although I have been told that Spock encountered it several times. Apparently, he had always dismissed it with his characteristic lifting of his right eyebrow, which usually connoted some combination of surprise, disbelief, and/or annoyance. -->
Mikanojo Says:
Jan 16, 2012 - Novelization, Admiral Kirk comment continues: "As for myself... I have always found my best gratification in that creature called woman. Also, I would not like to be thought of as being so foolish that I would select a love partner who came into sexual heat only once every seven years." So if you want to try and use the book to support your gay fetish fantasy, then accept what the book actually says.
Mikanojo Says:
Jan 16, 2012 - Wau.. so you never understood the touches between Sarek and Amanda either? It was not sex.. the Vulcan sex is an emotional breakdown they involuntarily suffer through approximately every seven years, where they are overcome with instinct to procreate. The touches between Sarek and Amanda were the only public displays of affection that Sarek would allow.
davidls11 Says:
Jan 16, 2012 - decaf.
datawolf39 Says:
Jan 18, 2012 - actually i was using the information from a interview that i saw if you really must know and i dont think that you are being very mature by saying mean things just because i like this slash pairing. on yeah and by the way what you said to disneyholic08 is not that accurate. sure the hand things were kisses but just because vulcans go through pon'farr does not mean that they can only have sex every seven yrs. im sure serek and amanda were intimae more than that.
Mikanojo Says:
Jan 18, 2012 - There is absolutely no reference in Trek to support your claim. By contrast there IS evidence that once the pon farr final stage (plak tow) passes Vulcans lose all desire for sex, as shown in the TOS Amok Time. Regarding this slash.. if it were only someone writing a lemon story for some kink site or for their friends then fine. But this has spread online. Now this revisionist gay porn appears in searches for Trek. i wish to enjoy Trek for what is was thank you.

Feb 1, 2012 - People, would you please just give it a rest? Of course Kirk and Spock weren't gay... haven't you ever heard the term "bisexual" before? Both of them were clearly capable of being attracted to/in love with women, but there is some pretty blatant subtext and general flirtatiousness between K/S in TOS. And if you read Kirk's quote from the novelization in the proper context, you'll see that he's really carefully saying nothing, and manages to avoid the question.
ImaRocketDog1 Says:
Feb 1, 2012 - There's further evidence of course that Kirk and Spock's relationship had romantic overtones, but there's way too much of it to post here. For more info I'd suggest looking up "The Ships Closet" and watching those. And why do anti-K/S fans always assume that its always just about sex? A true K/S believer focuses on the love between the two--love sufficient enough for physical intimacy, but never truly implying it. Roddenberry himself said as much, actually.
Mallory12Mcintyre Says:
Feb 24, 2012 - It would be pretty cool if they were secretly gay off screen back then :P ...Wait! Maybe they ARE!
SashaAnime132 Says:
Mar 12, 2012 - God damn. Calm yourselves.
ThatTrekkieGirl Says:
May 27, 2012 - Omigoodness, this song is hilarious :) And wow, that clip eanr the begannign from "city on the edge of forever" when they're tucking in their pants, too funny!

Mikanojo Says:
Dec 26, 2011 - Why can people not simply accept the characters as they were actually portrayed, not dream up ridiculous theories about homosexual acceptance on television in the 1960s, not mix sound bites and video clips to try and make Spock and Kirk appear to be gay just to fulfill your own sexual fantasies about them? If you honestly like them for who they WERE, then let them BE who they were. If you honestly liked the show, then HONOR the show as it actually was.
