Mar 13, 2012 - I think Ian McKellen was a better choice with a British Stage voice. American accent would have screwed it up. Although I do like Nimoys distinctive voice and I don't think Americans sound stupid or anything, don't read it like that please.Like the new Conan. He's supposed to be a european barbarian, it came off like a cheap 2 hour long episode of that terrible Hercules series which used to be on.

Mar 13, 2012 - Meh... the accents even 500 years ago are so different than they are now that no modern accent is even close. It's like when people complain about non-british Robin Hoods, when in fact at the time and location his accent would more likely have been closer to a modern Scandinavian and completely incomprehensible to us.That being said, Cary Elwes was the best Robin Hood by far... and unlike some OTHER robin hoods he COULD speak with an English accent.
