It does NOT preclude, nor exclude the appreciation of the beauty of a woman. Common and stupid misconception. A woman is complex and has many facets, of which physical atractiveness is one. To appreciate the physical beauty of a woman is not to fail to appreciate the person that the woman is. In fact in many cases it enhances it. Admiring beauty is not wrong.

Notice how he paints the sunlight playing through their hair and off their skin. This is not objectifying (See? Correct spelling! Utilize spell check; it's your friend) women in any way. It is appreciating their beauty. I am a strong, creative, driven woman and I am not offended in the slightest.

I grew up reading my mom's MS magazines, and saw naked marble bodies in Firenzi which would be considered too obscene for public consumption here. This vignette is very European.
