Jul 22, 2011 - Both Styles are amazing. I studied BJJ for 2 years, But I was always lucky to be somehow talented in grappling. I beat the "Gym Champ" in my first lesson. TO ME! BJJ requires less time to get an understanding of. Now I practice Wing Chun, which is harder to learn but when I see what my choach can do with little effort and remain humble (Unlike the BJJ players I used to roll with) I want to learn more. I'd say, maybe do BJJ for some time and then Focus on WC. Both are amazing.
