Jan 21, 2012 - This album in my opinion is one of the top 5 rock albums ever. It's sad that more people were not aware of this group. I am glad that Trans Siberian Orchestra is getting the attention it deserves. It's not quite the same but that Savatage style is still there.

I bought Dungeons are Calling and Sirens on LP immediately afterward. :) Still have them in great shape. Followed the band, eagerly awaiting every release since. Jan 29, 2012 - the change of the corporate music industry, they dictated what was heard and what wasnt. Savatage was one of the bands that hit the scene right after it was determined Power Metal was no longer a money maker and Grunge was.

Feb 10, 2012 - Still love Savatage, I remember watching MTV when the MTV news breaking news came on informing us that Criss Olivia was killed by a drunk driver in October of 93. A very sad day, Criss is one of my favorite guitarist of all time and I still find inspiration in his playing. R.I.P. Criss.

Feb 18, 2012 - Best concert I've ever seen - HotMK tour at the Thirsty Whale (Chicago) in '85. Front row right in front of Criss, one of the most underrated guitarists period. Last December I finally managed to visit his gravesite while on vacation in FL. Very moving....

Mar 20, 2012 - I like Savatage. With Jon Olivas voice it's like Alice Cooper with a little different kind of music. But this song sound like alice's ballads. Reminds me of "Die for You".

Mar 20, 2012 - I found them after I bought Sirens on an impulse buy. I had never even heard of them but the cover and song titles just screamed metal to me.....lol. I still have it over 20 years later.

Mar 30, 2012 - First time I heard Sirens I was hooked. I love the guitar and Jons voice compliment each other so well. Power of the Night is my favorite album. A little more edgy. It is all good and they are way underrated. Too bad grunge got big so fast, these guys never got the exposure they deserved. RIP Criss Oliva
