Jun 30, 2011 - okay for y'all (yes I'm from Texas) who don't know what Type 1 diabetes is and are making stupid comments about it and you dont know what the hell you're talking about, here's a simple explanation:basically you have cells in your pancreas that produce insulin and your immune system attacks these cells therefore you no longer produce insulin, which is needed to transform sugar into energy for your body to use. ppl get diagnosed usually pretty young, however you can get it whenever.

Dec 8, 2011 - I have one on my wrist. Low blood sugars (hypoglycemia) is something I fear and is by far my highest concern. Having the ID does help in those situations and I kept losing or breaking the ones I had so I made it permanent. I kept it as a simple Medical ID too. It's funny how people have told me I can't get them because of slow healing or something stupid. I healed with no issues at all and pretty quickly too. Actually planning my next to cover my other side.
