May 24, 2012 - No, i think the Indian wanted to escape. And Mcmurphy had damage to his brain, so he couldn't think 'straight' anymore. so he had nothing left to live for, if you can't feel or think anymore. The indian decided to escape, and killed Mcmurphy, So they could both escape to freedome. Mcmurphy's spirit that is.
