Apr 27, 2012 - in 1973 at 16 I was preparing to travel across Canada,stopped in a second hand store on the east side of Grande Prairie,Alta.(my hometown)...I found an old buffalo skin robe that I thought would work well for my Feb trip to Toronto..and also found an LP by the Band that I took home and played and recorded on my little cassette recorder... they have been with me ever since...a Band with 3 vocalists like Richard,Rick and Levon..amazing..and Robbie singing Out of the Blue..lights out..what a Band!

Apr 27, 2012 - I saw Levon Helm as the Confederate Colonel in the movie In The Electric Mist (With the Confederate Dead), from 1998. He looked and sounded tired and frail in the movie but thought it was just him acting, maybe even over-acting, the part of a battle weary Civil War soldier. I wonder now how much of it wasn't just an act. :( Rest well Levon.
