Sep 22, 2011 - Thank you! I've watched every grape pruning video, read dozens of articles, and this was the only one that clearly showed and explained canes vs spurs, so that I can easily select what needs to be removed every year. This is the first video that explained that 4 new canes are chosen each year from the canes that will emerge next year from 2 buds on each of 4 spurs. I have an old overgrown concord, and this will help greatly to revitalize it next year and many to come.
