Apr 20, 2012 - Sony said that the ps4 will come out before xbox 720, and this is not a rumour.
ALJustice0 Says:
Apr 20, 2012 - Um, if anything, Wii U is a THIS gen console. If all it does is catch up to the PS3 and X360, it isn't a "next" gen. Next would be blowing past them into the next level of power for technology.
WiiUNetwork Says:
Apr 26, 2012 - Michael Patcher is confirmed to be a Sony fanboy. He even said that the Vita would destroy the 3DS. But look who's getting destroyed now.

Apr 27, 2012 - Oh WOW. So it catches up to OLD hardware. I'm SO impressed.

May 1, 2012 - This kid doesn't know what he's talking about. The Wii U is incremental (if at all), and does not constitute a big leap forward (one that could justify a 7-year hiatus). According to insistent rumors, it doesn't even have dx. 11 (its gpu is heavily rumored to be only dx. 10.1 compatible). That target Zelda demo was NOT a "next gen." demonstration either. The only impressive thing going on there was the characters' fluid animations (truly smooth).
cadaverr Says:
May 1, 2012 - All the rest is questionable. Those water reflections were really OLD. Textures were not that impressive either. Shaders were average. The real "shock factor" must have come from a previous wii owner who has finally seen his beloved franchise in all of its high definition glory for the first time in his life. That's the main key here. That bird demo has also been somehow smartly dissimulated into looking "above the rest".
cadaverr Says:
May 1, 2012 - If you take a closer look, you might understand what I'm talking about. The only impressive things were those flowers, that bird, and the water effects (even though they're still below what is possible with dx. 11). If you look closer upon it, you should notice that the scenario (the biggest thing to be processed) is pretty horrible. All the rest looks really bad.
cadaverr Says:
May 1, 2012 - Textures are terrible, etc (it is a demonstration trick to trick the untrained eye into believing they're in front of a true to form "next gen." offering). God Of War 3 and Uncharted 3 are just two games featuring more impressive overall visuals (better water/environment reflections, high definition textures and shaders everywhere, more impressive lighting, etc) -- judging from that very brief demo, of course (just like all of us).
cadaverr Says:
May 1, 2012 - For a truly "next gen." demonstration, please direct yourselves to last year's "Samaritan demo", which should be a lot closer representation of consoles being released in 2013/2014.
cadaverr Says:
May 1, 2012 - "It looks like pixar animation" ROTFL. Oh, kid... how naive of you to say that. We are still many years away from such level. Just the amount of high quality anti-aliasing needed to provide us with such rendering quality is just absurd. It's nowhere near that quality yet (maybe within 5-10 years). Final Fantasy's CGI-like graphics running in real time won't be possible either (not even close). While most believe you're "finally unveiling the truth", you're actually corrupting it profusely.
superbob3331 Says:
May 12, 2012 - just like xbox 360 comes then sony can see it then make a console much better now the same thing will happen
NintendoWiiHDand3DS Says:
May 14, 2012 - wiii u controller only uses 1 i thought
jayloonar Says:
May 17, 2012 - yep they can make a more powerful console, but there will be no differencejust like how gamecube and xbox beats the ps2 graphically, theres no difference
ryogo666 Says:
May 20, 2012 - I'm very excited about the Wii U and can't wait to get more info at E3. Nintendo managed to make awesome looking games for the Wii (I actually think that Super Mario Galaxy 2 looks way better than most generic looking games on PS3 or X360 that got no style and only high-res texture) and now that they enter the HD world, they're gonna release spectacular games that are actually fun to play! Long life to Nintendo, may you continue to release the best games
jonnyuzumaki777 Says:
May 26, 2012 - It uses 2 reggie fils-aime said and dont make false assumptions before e3
jonnyuzumaki777 Says:
May 26, 2012 - WiiU = Unreal Engine 4

SakuraAvalon Says:
Apr 20, 2012 - xD No. How would Wii U games work on the Wii? It doesn't have the hardware to handle it. Unless you actually meant to say: "Will Wii games work on the Wii U?" than I believe so, as it uses the Wiimotes, and Nintendo does backwards compatibility.
