Duration: 5:23

Description:
Okays, so I had a car with a flat battery. My jump starter died some time back, and all my friends who could have jump started the car were out.Now on paper I knew that the little batteries I use to fly the model planes should be able to have a good go at jump starting a car..but the ultimate test is always does it work in practice.10 minutes later I had soldered up some junk I had and was ready to give it a go.Win Blog! ;-)

Dec 20, 2010 - Free inexhaustible energy is real! But the big oil corporations don't want that technology revealed,Get the blueprints for a free energy motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Big change is comming soon!

Jan 6, 2011 - why are you living like a gypsie

Jan 12, 2011 - The car battery and the toy plane battery use different technologies. Lead acid vs Lithium Ion. That's why they're different sizes. LIon batteries have a much high energy density which is why a battery that can start a car can be smaller. It's also a lot more expensive though, plus LIon batteries self discharge over time, which is why they aren't used to replace car batteries.

Jan 22, 2011 - - by the dash air vents with the hazard light switch between them, I'd say Ford Focus.

Mar 21, 2011 - be nice to have in the trunk for a emergency

magna59 Says:

Apr 20, 2011 - It's impressive, but it could be a small lead acid, motorcycle battery. OK the density is notably greater, but both types of battery have the ability to deliver a good instant hit of power.

May 8, 2011 - What the hell?!?!?!

shikoku86 Says:

Jun 3, 2011 - Never ever compare those to a Lithium Polymer. None of those types of batteries can discharge like a LiPo and be thermally efficient at the same time.

Mar 10, 2012 - Not exactly. 12V can KILL you under the right conditions. 12V is SOMETIMES safe.

NathanAlexMcCarty Says:

Mar 29, 2012 - It is the energy that matters, not the voltage. In theory, a few millivolts could be enough to kill you if it was accompanied with enough amperage

Anon3mous1 Says:

Mar 29, 2012 - Exactly - the point is, 60A at 12V is more than enough to be considered very dangerous. That's six times more amperage than you can get out of most wall sockets.

NathanAlexMcCarty Says:

Mar 30, 2012 - Did i just engage in rational discourse on youtube?I may actually want to live on this planet.

goatcrapp Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - and you do realize that the amperage scales with voltage, right? I'd rather get a 60A zap from a 12V source than a 7A jolt from 110v source.

gooders1002 Says:

May 3, 2012 - LOL yer that should do it

gooders1002 Says:

May 3, 2012 - Volts don't kill is amps and it you need 0.35 amps to kill you, My Step-dad is a electrician so I know about these things.
