airplus007 Says:
Mar 15, 2012 - There is no way to record phone calls using an iPhone. Not even jailbreaking it. At all. There are some services that allow to record calls from the iPhone, but they use remote servers to store and then send you the file. And you have to pay a subscription.I still use my old Palm Centro and all my calls are nicely recorded in my SD card. For free!!

Mar 20, 2012 - You do know that taping calls without consent is illegal in many countries?

airplus007 Says:
Mar 23, 2012 - @athox And why do you assume I do it without consent? I record conference calls and send an mp3 file to all participants. I record my voicemail messages so I can listen them again for free. Most Nokias, many Androids, ALL the old Palm phones, etc. have recording capabilities since ages. Only Apple sell crippled devices to people. Sent from my iPad

Mar 24, 2012 - Just noticing that people say Apple sell crippled devices and that it cant do what they want. The features of the iphone are clearly documented on apples website. Before i buy a product of any kind not just phones i actually research what it CAN do before i buy it and not hope it will do what i need it todo. Anyone who busy the iphone expecting it todo what every other mobile can do without researching first, is frankly retarded and deserves to have that "fuck ive just wasted my money" feeling.

May 12, 2012 - Actually, each state has their own independent laws about the legality of recording a phone conversation. 2nd, I would venture to say that, because they are recording the phone conversation themselves, they have already given you explicit consent to do the same.
athox Says:
May 12, 2012 - Do you know the difference between an american state and a country? One of those count 6 times the other. And no, you do not get consent to record a phone call if they tell you that they will record it. What they are doing is telling you that the call may be recorded for training purposes, ie. in-house use. If you proceed with the call then you give them permission to record it.If you record the call, without asking, you have not obtained permission for anything at all.
naval8viator Says:
May 12, 2012 - Did you know this was recorded in the United States, who cares about another states law? And if you want to get technical, the proper term for a nation is called a "state". Thus, "each state has their own laws" applies both to each United States' state (a nation-state of states) and all foreign states outside the US. Thanks for playing.Furthermore, it doesnt matter why someone records a call, in house or not, 38 of the 50 US states are one-party notification states so you've already have perm
