I agree you could make them yourself, but to make the quality of biscuits out of those cans, you need many more ingredients, and homemade biiscuits never taste so good. Its more cost effective to buy the cans and you get a better tasting biscuit for breakfast.

Mar 25, 2012 - they are very much like scones but lighter and buttery. a lot of effort to make them taste great, the dough takes longer to make than cooking it, and is a staple item in american cooking, especially for breakfast. It is for convenience but home made spoon drop biscuits usually aren't so good, unless it's grandma's :)
